What led Quantion to launch GenAI services, and what are the goals of this initiative?

What led us to launch GenAI services aligns with our mission to always stay at the forefront of the latest technological trends. We offer innovative and relevant solutions to our clients. Generative AI is one of those technologies that can have a big impact on businesses, but many companies still don’t know how to move from experimentation to practical implementation. At Quantion, we’ve always been aware that it’s not enough to know about emerging technologies—it’s essential to know how to apply them effectively.

Our goal with the new GenAI services offering is to close that gap. We wanted to create a space where we could not only research and test different approaches but also develop a clear proposal that could be transferred to our clients. As we saw the potential of generative AI in our own internal trials, we decided it was time to bring this service to market. The ultimate goal is to accompany companies throughout the entire process. From identifying opportunities to implementing real solutions that generate tangible business value.

How do the GenAI services work, and what makes them different from other innovation services?

With GenAI services, we focus on creating impactful business solutions through generative artificial intelligence. Currently, many companies focus solely on research or pilot projects, with mixed results. Our approach is a specialized service aimed at creating solutions for our clients, accompanying them from the initial exploration phase, identifying opportunities, to the final implementation of solutions. This includes identifying opportunities, creating prototypes, and launching solutions that align with our clients’ business objectives.

In our lab, our team researches different technologies around generative AI in an agile environment where prototypes can be developed for tasks like process automation, content generation, or advanced data analysis. What really sets us apart is our commitment to taking these ideas to the next level: we turn prototypes into solutions that are effectively integrated into business processes, ensuring that each implementation has a real impact.

How do GenAI services work at Quantion, and how do they differ from traditional consulting?

Our GEN AI services are designed to offer practical solutions that directly impact our clients’ results, setting us apart from traditional consulting. We don’t just give recommendations or carry out isolated pilots; at Quantion, we support companies throughout the entire project cycle. We work with a comprehensive approach that guides companies from the initial exploration phase to the implementation of customized operational solutions, always ensuring strategic alignment with business objectives. Through our proprietary generative AI adoption framework, we not only develop prototypes but also integrate essential elements like AI governance, change management, and scalability. This helps mitigate risks, ensure sustainable adoption, and manage knowledge effectively. The goal is to maximize business value, ensuring that every solution has a real and measurable impact on the organization’s processes.

In our laboratory, we work in an agile environment where we research, develop, and validate prototypes in areas such as process automation, content generation, or advanced data analysis. But what really sets us apart is that we don’t stop there: we turn these prototypes into scalable solutions, fully integrated into business processes that benefit our clients. Additionally, we facilitate the rapid adoption of generative AI without requiring large initial investments, optimizing resources and minimizing risks.

What types of companies can benefit most from our GenAI services? Are there specific sectors where you see more potential impact?

The great advantage of generative AI is that its application is very broad and not limited to a single sector. Any company looking to improve efficiency, automate processes, or create personalized experiences for its customers can benefit from our GenAI services. This includes everything from large corporations to small and medium-sized businesses.

Sectors such as retail, customer service, human resources, marketing, and insurance are already seeing great potential in generative AI. For example, in retail, AI can personalize the customer experience in real time. However, I believe any industry that needs to process large volumes of information or data or aims to offer more personalized experiences for its customers can greatly benefit from this technology.

Moreover, we are our own first client, which has allowed us to experience firsthand how generative AI is driving the evolution of our internal efficiency and quality. By integrating tools like Copilot and developing custom solutions with generative AI, we focus on continuously improving our processes and freeing teams from repetitive tasks. This is helping us optimize operational efficiency and increase the quality of work, allowing our teams to focus on higher-value activities while we continue evolving our use of these technologies.

You can find more details about these advancements and other challenges in our article on the uses and challenges of generative AI in the insurance sector here.

What are some of the most innovative use cases Quantion has developed with GenAI so far?

We’ve worked on truly innovative projects. One client needed to improve the efficiency of their human resources services. To address this challenge, we implemented generative AI to filter and classify resumes, enabling the recruitment teams to identify the right profiles for each position more quickly and accurately. This not only saves time but also improves precision in the selection process.

Another challenge we tackled was the enterprise-level adoption of AI for another client, where we applied our AI framework to help the organization strategically integrate this technology. Through a comprehensive approach covering AI governance, legal compliance, change management, and controlled experimentation, we guided our clients toward the effective adoption of generative AI. As a result, initiatives like the creation of a new content generation and consultation channel for their users have been developed. Here, AI not only generates content automatically but also personalizes it in real time based on the user data interacting with the system, which is crucial in sectors like retail or customer service, where speed and relevance are key.

Our main focus in these cases is the creation and use of RAGs (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) or GraphRAG, which combine language models with external information or knowledge graphs to provide context and precisely tailor the behavior required for each use case.

And this is just the beginning. We are working on even more disruptive solutions, such as advanced analytics on relational models, contextual assistance in writing, and enterprise copilots that will transform how we work. Along with the experimentation we’re currently engaged in, I’m convinced that fascinating things will emerge and that the potential of what we’re creating is enormous.

What key trends are you seeing while working in the field of artificial intelligence?

The most exciting thing right now is how large language models generate content and can now reason and adapt in real time to interactions, allowing them to provide more accurate and contextualized responses. This opens up a wide range of possibilities, especially in the development of more intelligent and personalized conversational agents. An example could be the new release of OpenAI’s o1, an AI model that has the ability to “think.”

Another interesting aspect is the creation of multimedia content, such as videos or voices generated automatically and personalized. This is revolutionizing sectors like marketing, entertainment, and even education. Additionally, the rise of digital avatars and immersive experiences is transforming how we interact with technology and brands. These trends are advancing rapidly, and we have the tools to stay ahead of how we can integrate these new capabilities to offer increasingly innovative solutions.

What is your vision for the future of GenAI services within Quantion?

Our GenAI services are a key strategic component within Quantion, and our long-term vision is to continue evolving with new technological trends. We’ve already accumulated a great deal of experience and have a highly skilled team, but we’re convinced this is just the beginning. Artificial intelligence continues to advance rapidly, and we want to always stay at the forefront of those developments.

As technology continues to evolve, we see enormous potential to keep expanding our capabilities and offer even more innovative solutions to our clients. I’m confident that our GenAI services will continue to be a transformative force, helping companies adopt AI effectively and generating real impact on their operations.

For companies interested, how can they start a project with GenAI?

For those companies wanting to take the first step, the approach is simple but effective. We start with a co-creation phase, combining the client’s deep knowledge of their business with our expertise in artificial intelligence. This allows us to identify key opportunities where generative AI can add the most value.

From there, we work together to structure the project from scratch, defining objectives, creating prototypes, and then scaling the solution. Throughout the process, we ensure that the solution aligns with the client’s business objectives, generating concrete results. Additionally, we support companies throughout the entire project lifecycle, ensuring that any challenges that arise are managed effectively.
